Blaine

Blaine is one our most popular Twin Cities, located about 15 minutes north of Minneapolis making it a great place to live for those who plan to be commuting downtown to work but who appreciate being outside of the city. Blaine is also one of our larger suburb cities which provides a wide range of home prices – from entry level townhomes, all the way up to luxury lakefront properties. Blaine has many great parks and outdoor spaces such as Aquatore Park (featured in our neighborhood tour video) which is home to the big annual Blaine Festival with it’s family friendly carnival rides and activities.

Blaine’s got plenty of shopping! There are three different shopping areas including Northtown Mall, Riverdale Shopping Center and a series of stores and restaurants along highway 65. One of the big claims-to-fames for Blaine is the National Sports Center which is the largest amateur sports facility in the world! The National Sports Center hosts the USA Target Cup soccer tournament each year and is the training facility of the Minnesota United soccer team (GO Loons!). You’ll find an hockey arena inside, basketball and volleyball courts and dozens of soccer fields. Local Tip: Living close to the National Sports Center in Blaine also means great views of the annual fireworks show!

If you’re moving to Minnesota and hoping for lakefront property within the immediate Twin Cities metro, Blaine can be the perfect option to consider! A large portion of the city was developed into what’s known as The Lakes – a series of several neighborhoods built around several man-made lakes. Imagine canoeing or paddle boarding right out your back door! And another really cool thing about The Lakes is Blaine Lakeside Commons Park & Beach (aka: Blaine Beach) in the heart of the development. Blaine Beach is loved by all with it’s sandy beach, splash pad, playground, volleyball pit and more – right in your neighborhood.

Regardless what type of home you’re looking to buy, Blaine has got an option for you. On the west side you’ll find more affordable options for both Townhomes (look around the Cloverleaf Farms area) and single family (between Blaine High School and Jefferson Elementary can be a great spot for reasonably priced homes). In this area you’ll find homes built typically between 1960-1980, and mainly rambler or split-entry style of homes for sale and right now will cost between about $250,000-350,000. The Lakes area mentioned before features homes built mainly in the 2000’s with mostly two-story homes, though you’ll find one-level townhomes and single-family homes as well. Typically, these homes are larger with around 3,000 square feet and right now will usually cost between $350,000-450,000.

If you’re looking for something that a little bit more executive or custom Blaine has that as well. You can come up to the Wagamon Ranch neighborhood. A little more executive and custom, Wagamon Ranch features new construction homes around 4,000 square feet which are located in a private association with a pool and a clubhouse. You’re also not far from the TPC Golf Course!
